Zero energy water solutions mean large scale cost savings
If you run a water intensive business like a golf course, plantation or fish farm with access to a flowing water source on your estate, you may be in for a very positive surprise because your investment in a Papa Pump may pay off in a couple of years and give you free water for life.
Stop paying for drinking quality water when you don't need to!
Using drinking water (public supplies) for cleaning, watering and sanitation is costly and in a commercial operation, it is like pouring money down the drain.
If you have a nearby stream or river, you can install a Papa ram pump and deliver water for free! And a simple Papa ram pump system can often save you paying for costly infrastructure and pipework, in rural caravan sites, fish farms, remote treatment plants and plantations.
Commercial applications include:
How Green is the Papa Pump?
The Papa Pump is a renewable source of energy that uses no electricity or fossil fuels. This graph shows the estimated amount of CO2 emissions generated by pumping 20m³ per day to a height of 100m over a period of 10 years. The Papa Pump emits Zero Carbon Dioxide!
As many of the world's aquifers are now in distress, pumping out ground water from a well or borehole is harming the environment. That's why the Papa Pump uses available surface water - NO GROUND WATER - and so does not impact on the water table.
Flexible Pumping Solutions
Water Powered Technologies’ Papa and Venturo Pump Systems operate 24/7 automatically over long periods. They generally utilise reliable flowing water sources, although, unlike many other renewable energy resources such as solar and wind which vary hourly or daily, these water sources tend to vary with seasonality and shifting climatic influences.
However, Water Powered Technologies are developing simple hybrid solutions for periods of low flow or in flat geographies where water tends to be still or slow moving. Water can be pumped to a low level by solar, wind or utility electricity to supplement the supply for the Papa or Venturo pumps. This means that by utilising a very simple combination of solar/wind/electric, the Papa/Venturo can provide water delivery to a wide range of heights and outputs by using our standard and robust equipment.
